Soso is a small community located in Jones County in southern Mississippi. The population is approximately 370 residents. Soso is near the larger town of Laurel in Jones County. Both are part of the region known as the Pine Belt. Soso contains one grocery store, two dollar stores, one restaurant (Mrs. Rees Grill), and two gas stations. Several churches are located in the area. The area around Soso is lovely with grand old oaks and historic homes and plantations.
